BIR’s “Don Gino’s Volunteering” project offers several opportunities for the activation and training of young people in the city of Milan:
- Activities to promote volunteering and active citizenship: aimed at schools, universities and youth groups, BIR staff together with volunteers offer interested young people concrete proposals for volunteering and activation in the various projects of BIR, Comunità Nuova and Don Gino Rigoldi Foundation;
- CN l’Hub Volunteer Desk: orientation space within CN l’HUB for young people who want to discover volunteer opportunities within the organizations linked to don Gino;
- Training Paths: training proposals by BIR staff aimed at a group of young volunteers from BIR Association. During the meetings they deal with active citizenship issues and topics chosen and agreed upon with the beneficiaries themselves, with a view to activation and protagonism of the boys and girls involved;
- YouthBank South West Milan: managed by a group of young people, it aims to finance projects of other groups of young people in the Southwest Milan area.
Objective: to stimulate pathways of activation and training of young people within the organizations of the community around don Gino.
Beneficiaries: young people met in volunteer promotion meetings and workshops, oriented to volunteer proposals through the CN Volunteer Desk the Hub, participants in the continuing education pathway, active in YouthBank South West Milan and beneficiaries of projects funded by the same.
