The Youth Center “Ermanno Olmi” by Comunità Nuova Onlus is in Milan’s Municipality 7 and is a place for young people, open five days a week.

At the Center we offer after-school activities, study space, music and art workshops, summer center, sports tournaments and trips of a day or more. We design the activities we offer together with the guys who attend the Center, because the relationship is the heart of our work. That is why we work together on the formation of future critical and aware citizens, offering them paths of knowledge and awareness on environmental, social and youth issues.

Objectives:

• Reducing school dropout: decreasing the rate of school failure and improving school-family relations
• Promoting youth well-being: increasing opportunities related to self-expression and the pursuit of one’s talents
• Promoting active citizenship: increasing knowledge and awareness related to work issues and increasing a critical sense of individual and community responsibility

Beneficiaries: boys and girls aged 11 to 21 in Municipio 7, particularly in the areas of Inganni, Forze Armate, Baggio, Lorenteggio and Selinunte.
